After a few years in Japan, where I learned to love sake and took a deep dive into its history and culture, I started Sakeguide.net in 2019 to spread the word about this fascinatingly complex beverage in Europe. While my professional background is in an entirely unrelated field, I also hold a WSET Level III Award in Sake, so you can be sure that all information on this site is well researched.

Alcohol abuse is dangerous.
While sake is an exciting beverage and cultural product to discover and explore, please remember to drink responsibly and respect your local liquor laws.
